OSRS Pest Control Guide

Pest Control is a minigame in OSRS that is only available to members. Yes, it’s combat-based, where players have to defend the Void Knight in the middle of the arena from incoming attacks. While doing so, players have to also destroy the portals and any creature that is attacking the Knight. In the world of Guthix, this minigame is known to bring balance, as players aim to defeat the creatures before the balance can be disrupted. The Void Knight are the ones that are running the minigame, and they’re also a part of the order of Guthix. During the game, players are transported to an island through landers, and these landers are classed and divided by their combat level.

Being a safe minigame, you won’t have to worry about losing your items, and if you die, you’ll simply spawn back on the lander to continue your battle again. Once the game ends, your Prayer Points, Hit Points, Special Attack, and Run Energy are also restored to full. Another thing that you need to keep in mind is that the potions get consumed during the gameplay, and if you’re bringing any, you’ll probably lose it for good.

General Information

Before you begin your journey here, it is recommended that you have at least level 40 combat. Being at that level will give you access to the novice lander, and for the intermediate one, you’ll require level 70 combat. Similarly, there’s also the veteran lander, which requires level 100 combat. In order to receive commendation points, you will have to keep your activity bar up throughout the gameplay. You can increase the bar by attacking enemies and dealing damage to the portals. Another way is to repair gates and barricades, and by doing so, you also receive 5 EXP in the Crafting skill. However, you will need a hammer to fix the barricades.

The game will consist of players between 5 – 25, and if there are 25 players on the lander, the game will instantly begin. If there are less than that, you will have to wait for two minutes, but have at least 5 players on the lander. If you do miss out on the 25-player round, you will be given a priority number, which will decide whether you’ll be selected in the next batch or not (depends on how high your number is). You cannot bring pets on the lander, and spells like Alchemy and items like Dwarf Multi-Cannons are prohibited.

The Outpost (Void Knight)

Void Knight’s Outpost is the location where Pest Control is situated. The area is accessible from Port Sarim (Far South), and you’ll have to speak to the Squire, who will then take you to the Outpost. Another way is by using the Minigame Group Finder and then selecting the Pest Control option to directly teleport there.

The Outpost has various facilities accessible to players; a bank, general store, smithing area (anvil), and a smith who can fix Barrows Equipment. You will also find a Void Knight Magic and Archery store here, which has a good number of stocks in terms of items. Finally, there’s the lander that can be accessed to begin the minigame.

Gameplay

The gameplay is quite straightforward, and there are two different ways to win the match. The first one in this osrs pest control guide is by keeping the Void Knight alive for the entire twenty minutes, and the second one is by destroying all the four portals in the area before the Void Knight dies. The second method is mostly preferred as it doesn’t consume a lot of time to destroy four portals. However, your priority should be towards the Void Knight, because if he/she dies, then the match will be over.

Each of these portals spawns a number of different creatures that are known as pests, as mentioned in this osrs pest control guide. The portals also have a shield, which can only be deactivated by the Void Knight. Once it’s successfully deactivated, you can begin destroying the portals. The first shield will take about 15 seconds, following up with 30 seconds for the next one, and so on. The portals have a good defense, so the best attack styles to use are Ranged, Magic, Crush, or Slash.

Strategy

The best strategy for pest control osrs would be to keep an eye on the gates and ensure that they’re kept shut at all times. The reason is that these gates will lead to the middle of the arena, where the Void Knight stands. A few players are only required to protect the Knight, while the other players can focus on destroying the portals as the shield deactivates. During the game, you will notice that Spinners are repairing the portals. However, you can ignore them, until or unless multiple Spinners are spawned. If that happens, you must first kill them and then start destroying the portals again.

Rewards

If you successfully win, then you’ll be granted commendation points, as well as Runescape Gold which you can use to purchase osrs pest control rewards within pest control osrs. If you win on the Novice lander, you’ll be granted with 3 commendation points, and similarly, for Intermediate and Veteran, you’ll be granted with 4 and 5, respectively. If you manage to destroy every portal, then you have a chance to obtain coins that are ten times your combat level.

The maximum number of points that you can stack is 4,000 for osrs pest control rewards, and anything above that will result in a warning as you try to enter the game. Keeping that in mind, it’s best that you spend your points at the nearby Void Knight shop. You can purchase a number of things, such as Skill Experience, Herb Packs, Mineral Packs, Seed Packs, and Void Knight Equipment. In terms of the equipment, make sure to have at least 42 Attack, Strength, Defense, Ranged, Magic, and HP, along with 22 Prayer before purchasing, or else you won’t be allowed to.

WoW Rogue Leveling Guide

The leveling process has drastically changed in the Shadowlands, ranging from the experience rate to mounts, consumables, addons, etc. However, Rogue class has always been a little sluggish due to the slow generating resources, but you need not worry because it improves as you gain higher levels and new abilities that can help improve your energy and combo points. Since Rogues don’t have access to such benefits from the very start, the leveling process can get a little boring, but with time, if you have the right amount of patience, then the abilities and perks that you gain at higher levels are completely worth it.

As you level up, you will also gain access to some of the most powerful defensive abilities in the game, which is quite necessary to obtain for completing quests where you have to kill dreadful enemies with high mana and health pools. In the following wow rogue leveling guide, we will show you the most efficient way to level up your Rogue character. So, we suggest that you keep reading further.

Shadowlands Rogue: Best Levelling Specializations

Out of the three available specs, we recommend that you go for Subtlety because it’s the best rogue leveling spec for leveling up your Rogue character in this wow rogue leveling guide. Not only does it offer the best single-target burst damage, but also allows you to finish off your enemies within seconds (jumping enemy to enemy). In addition, it also has a great self-healing tool in comparison to the other specializations, which means you don’t have to sit around and take breaks to regenerate your health. Yes, its AOE damage isn’t as good as the other specializations, but it’s only behind a few margins so it doesn’t affect much.

Outlaw is another one of the best rogue leveling spec as it has its own smooth process to complete the leveling phases. During your journey, you will come across some intriguing maintenance buffs that freshen your playstyle, as well as mid-range abilities so that you can damage the far away enemies. It has an amazing AOE damage output, burst damage, and lower cooldowns on its defensive abilities.

Assassination might feel to you like the most sluggish specialization as it entirely relies upon the passive abilities that help boost the resource generation rate. However, even though that’s a plus point, most of them aren’t available until later on. If you do want to go for this specialization, we recommend that you switch when you’re at least level 40 as the most efficient abilities are gained during those levels. Other than that, it has a decent single and multi-target damage output so if you’re more towards playing as a damage overtime melee specialization, then you know what to choose.

Shadowlands Rogue: Abilities

Levels 3 to 24

At level 3, you unlock the ability called Cheap Shot, which is an ability used from the stealth category, and it helps stun the enemy target for four seconds. At level 4, you unlock the ability called Fleet Footed, which helps increase your base movement speed by 15%, while reducing the damage you take during a fall. At level 5, you unlock the ability called Sprint, which helps increase your speed by 70% for a duration of eight seconds. At level 10, you unlock the ability called Instant Poison, which provides a chance to deal damage when you strike a target with melee, and it lasts for about 60 minutes. At level 24, you unlock the ability called Pick Lock & Pick Pocket, which gives you the power to unlock chests, lockboxes, locked doors, etc., and steal lockboxes, respectively, for items or world of warcraft gold.

Levels 25 to 34

At level 25, you unlock the ability called Safe Fall, which decreases the damage that you take in during a fall. In other words, you can easily jump off cliffs, roofs, or ledges with ease. At level 28, you unlock the ability called Distract, which targets a specific area, causing mobs to stop their movements and face the center of the targeted circle. It’s quite useful to stop patrols from interrupting during an ongoing fight or to turn a number of mobs from coming at you together. At level 31, you unlock the ability called Sprint, which is the same ability as mentioned before but has its cooldown reduced to a minute. At level 32, you unlock the ability called Shiv, which is a stronger version of your non-lethal poison cast on a single target. At level 34, you unlock the ability called Crippling Poison, which, when afflicted on a target, has its speed reduced by 50%.

Levels 38 to 54

At level 38, you unlock the ability called Feint, which helps reduce the damage taken from an area that is affected with a spell or ability by 40%. At level 38, you unlock the ability called Wound Poison, which helps reduce the effectiveness of a healing effect on an enemy target by 8% (it can be stacked up to three times). At level 48, you unlock the ability called Tricks of the Trade, which transfers the generated threat over to a friendly player (since it’s usable on friendly targets) for six seconds. At level 48, you unlock the ability called Shroud of Concealment, which is also usable on a friendly target/party member within the area surrounding you. Using it will allow the players to move while being stealth-ed, but they can be detected by hostile targets easily. A good recommendation would be to use it with the ability called Distract to allow your group to stealth past the enemies. Finally, at level 54, you unlock the ability called Numbing Poison, which, when used on a target, reduces their attack and casting speed by 15%. However, you can only have one non-lethal ability active at a given time (remember that).

New World How to Skill Guide

Leveling your gathering skills in New World is quite important if you wish to survive the gameplay, and today that’s what we’ll be talking about in the following guide. There are several things to distinguish here from the other MMOs, which also plays a vital role because a player should know about how the competitive market is running.

New World is similar to ‘Sandbox’ which interprets that, players can easily interact with every component of the game to gather resources. These gathered resources can then be sold at the open market, or be utilized to craft into unique items after the refining process.

You can begin doing so, as soon as you create your character and begin playing. You require no training to possess the Trade skills, and instead, you need a simple tool that can be crafted from materials you can easily gather. Many players focus on their Gathering skills even before starting to focus on the other Trade skills.

Gathering Skill

The gathering is one of the three Trade skills in the game, alongside Crafting and Refining. When we talk in terms of gathering resources, every MMO has a unique process of its own. Similar, in New World, you can interact with your surroundings and gather resources with the help of specific tools in this New World Leveling Guide.

The gathering is also the initial step of the ‘Crafting’ process. Raw materials or resources can be harvested, stored, refined, and then crafted into furniture, weapons, clothing, potions, and many other things. Opting for which Crafting skill to specialize in, depends upon gameplay preferences that you’re going to follow after the character creation phase.

Helpful Potions

There’s a wide range of Elixirs, Potions, and other Consumables available in the game to help players overcome the dangers in the land of Aeternum. The majority of them are crafted through the Arcana skill.

Strong Encumbrance Potions start at tier 2 and increase the encumbrance limit of a character for a short duration of time. It means that you are provided with additional space in your inventory, and you can choose to upgrade the potion to the Power or Infused variant to increase the time span.

Beast Coatings range from Common to Infused, and they aren’t consumed, but instead coated on a weapon to improve its damage for this New World Leveling Guide. It’s quite beneficial for an advantage while gathering meat, fur, or leather.

Proficiency Boosters are the potions that can be crafted through the Engineering skill with a mere level of 20. However, they are tricky to make because you need ingredients that are derived from uncommon local herbs. It offers a bonus to the yield of a gathering tool.

Food Buffs

Players have the opportunity to gather resources quicker and for more Exp than what they usually acquire. You can purchase these items from the Trading Posts, but it’s a lot cheaper if you make them on your own utilizing the ‘Cooking’ skill.

Basic food items that can be made in the early stage of the game prioritize mana and health regeneration, which are quite different from the Gathering buffs. There are a few available provided that the character holds certain materials and ‘Cooking’ level to make them.

Craft Mods

When you are crafting different equipment, there are items that players can add to them for additional perks. Yes, most of them fall towards crafting, score improvements, and combat attributes, but there are a few useful ones for the Gathering skill. These perks are also known as the scaling of a character’s gear score.

Silver of Adderstone offers the space to carry additional gathered resources. Burden reduced the weight of refined items, tools, and raw materials that the player is carrying, respective to the profession. Improved Yield is similar to the Burden perk, which is one for every profession, but it improves the gathering yield instead of reducing the bag weight. Reinforced/Adored/Luck improves the chances of locating a rare item during the gathering process. Finally, there are some random perks that you acquire during the crafting phase, which is regardless of the craft mods utilized. In simpler words, you can craft your own fishing pole and explore a variety of unique fishing perks.

In-Depth Knowledge About Gathering

Tracking & Skinning

In order to level up tracking and skinning, you need to genuinely practice the craft. Leather obtained from skinning has many uses in the early-game content. Any dishes between tier 1 and 3 that consist of carrot as the main ingredient can improve your overall luck while tracking and skinning. At later tiers (tier 4), you can think about switching to vegetable boils and hearty savory fish cakes.

Logging

Also known as one of the slowest gathering skills to level up, with a little bit of excitement as you level up. The items that you can consume for logging buffs are Cabbages and Proficiency Boosters. At the later levels, you can start making complex weapons and house furniture, which are highly required by the other games.

Mining

One of the most intriguing and beneficial gathering skills in the game is mining. Iron ores are useful for every crafting skill (beginner tools), silver ores are important to make jewelry, and other rare metals are useful to craft mods, furniture, consumers, etc. You can always increase your mining to an advantage with the help of potato buffs, and at a max level, the most preferred food is Salted Roasted Vegetables.

Fishing

Leveling fishing is quite easy, as you can come across bait even at a lower level. You can also craft bait at the cooking stations or camps with the help of basic meat, fish, or seasoning blends. There aren’t a variety of food items that you can craft to improve your fishing, ‘at least not yet.’

Harvesting

Most of the harvesting buffs include corn as a main ingredient, which can only be found in settlements that were formerly farms. These buffs for the harvesting skill require Cooked Corn between tiers 1 and 3. Breakfast Bread is available to players at Tier 4 (around level 40) and offers a significant buff. There’s also the Spicy Steak Pie, which is an endgame recipe only available at or after level 54, and it helps generously increase the harvesting process.

OSRS The Fremennik Trials Guide

The Fremennik Trials take you on an adventure to become an honorary member of Rellekka. As the name suggests, you’ll face many trials during the journey. Worry not because the following guide will show you the simplest way to complete it.

Quest Requirements

If you’re going to craft the Lyre, then you’ll be needing 25 Fletching, 40 Crafting, and 40 Woodcutting. You’ll also need enough combat level and good equipment to kill a level 69 NPC, as well as a Warrior but without any equipment or spells.

In terms of the items required, you’ll a Beer, Tinderbox, 5,252 GP, Raw Shark, Manta Ray, or Sea Turtle. Also, to craft the Lyre, you’ll need an Axe, a Knife, and other osrs items which can be obtained during the quest.

Walkthrough

You can start the quest by heading north of Rellekka’s entrance and speaking to Brundt the Chieftain. He’ll ask you to impress seven of the twelve council members to become an honorary member. However, it won’t be easy because you’ll need to complete personal tasks for them.

Manni

Head over to the bar and speak to Manni the Reveller. You need to challenge him to a drinking contest. So, take a beer tankard and keg from the long hall bar and speak to him again.

It’ll be a pointless contest because he won’t get drunk. Now, head to the Seers’ Village to purchase a low-alcohol beer keg from the NPC called Poison Salesman. You can find him near the bar, and It’ll cost you exactly 250 OSRSGP.

Take that keg to the bride that leads to Rellekka and give it to the Council Workman to receive a Cherry Bomb. Head back to the bar and light the Cherry Bomb, placing it in the pipe on the east wall.

Grab another beer from the hall, and use the new low-alcohol keg on the standard one which is in your inventory. Speak to Manni, showing him how you can drink the keg without being drunk.

Olaf

Next, head east of the bar to locate Olaf the Bard. You’ll need to show him your skills as a bard to get his vote. The performance will be in the long hall, but first, you’ll need a Lyre.

Grab an Onion, Cabbage, and a Potato from the vegetable patch in Rellekka. Now, head east from the main gate to cut down the Swaying Tree. From there, go southeast until you see a Golden Sheep and Tree.

Speak to the troll nearby, and then head to the entrance of Rellekka’s long hall to find Askeladden. Take the pet rock from him and return it to Lalli (troll), who won’t accept it.

You’ll now need to make Rock Soup using the ingredients you picked. Head to Lalli’s cave and use the items on the stew outside. Make him taste it in return for a Golden Fleece.

You now need to head back to Seers’ Village and turn it into a Ball of Wool using skill; However, there’s an alternate way. You can get it as a drop from killing Lanzig, Lensa, Freidir, or Borrokar.

Once obtained, grab your Raw Shark, Sea Turtle, or Manta Ray and head to the southwestern part of Rellekka. Use the Raw Fish on the Altar there to summon a spirit named Fossegrimen and ask it to enchant the Lyre for you.

Finally, speak to Olaf the Bard, and go through the door right onto the stage to perform. Once done, speak to Olaf again to get his vote.

Sigil

At the entrance of the gate, you’ll find Sigil the Huntsman. He’ll ask you to search for a spirit called Draugen. You need to take the talisman that he gives you and roam the grounds of the Fremennik Province until a message appears in your chat box.

You need to defeat the spirit, which is fairly easy, and then head back to Sigil with the spirit-absorbed talisman to get his vote.

Sigmund

Next, head to the market to locate Sigmund the Merchant. He’ll ask you for an Exotic Flower in return for his vote. First, speak to the Sailor on the dock to know that he wants a romantic ballad composed for him.

After that, head over to Olaf, and he’ll ask you for a new pair of shoes. Now, go west of where Sigmund is and enter the clothing store. Speak to Yrsa there, who agrees to make a pair of new shoes in return for the store taxes being lowered.

Time to head to the long hall and speak to Brundt, who’ll agree to do it if Sigil shows him the best monster-hunting location. Speak to Sigil, who’ll only agree to do so for a custom-made bowstring.

Move towards the Helmet Stall north of the long hall and speak to Skulgrimen who wants a rare fish in exchange. Head to the western docks to speak to the Fisherman (north). He’ll need a map for the best fishing spots.

Now, locate Swensen south of the marketplace, who’ll agree to make the map for a weather forecast. Go northwest to find Peer the Seer, who’ll give you the forecast for a bodyguard.

Speak to Thorvald the Warrior, and he’ll request a seat in the long hall. Next, speak to Manni who’ll give you a seat for Thora’s Legendary Cocktail. Thora is at the long hall itself; she’ll agree to make a cocktail for Askeladden’s signed note to stay away from the bar.

You can find Askeladden south of the long hall, who’ll agree to sign the note for 5,000 Old School Runescape Gold. Finally! Pay him up and do the entire thing backway to finally give Sigmund the exotic flower and receive his vote.

Swensen

You can find Swensen the Navigator southwest of the long hall. Climb the ladder down when you reach his house to come across four portals. You need to find your way through, so enter the south portal first, followed by the west, east, north, south, east, and north to reach him. Get his vote and leave.

Thorvald

Head to the Helmet Store to locate Thorvald the Warrior. He’ll ask you to fight Koschei the Deathless with certain rules. The rules are that you need to beat him three times, and that too without any Runes, Equipment, or Weapons. He comes back stronger every time you defeat him so WATCH OUT!

A plus point is that you can use Prayer & Food, so you’ll be fine. However, the final form can be difficult so we recommend using a Ring of Recoil. Once defeated, speak to Thorvald again to get his vote.

Peer

Head south of the market to find Peer the Seer. He’ll give you an easy task to enter through the front door of his house. But it can’t be that simple, can it? There will be many obstacles on the way!

You can’t take any items inside, and you need to answer a number of puzzles to get through. You’ll receive clues for each of the 4-letter answers. It’ll be one of the following: wind, tree, fire, life, mind, mage, and time.

Once inside, head upstairs and search the area until you find a Red Herring, Wooden Disk, an Empty Jug, an Empty Bucket, and an Old Red Disk. Next, locate a chest upstairs and open it by setting 4L of water on top of it.

You’ll need to first fill your Bucket with water (tap south of the Cooking Range), use it on the Jug to transfer, and then settle it. Keep repeating until you receive a Vase from the chest.

Use the Red Herring on the Cooking Range to make Red Goo, then use it on the disk to make two Red Disks. Next, use a full water jug on the vase and put a lid to seal it, and then use it on the frozen table to get a Frozen Key.

Unfreeze the key using the Cooking Range, and finally, head down the eastern ladder to exit and get Peer’s vote. With all seven votes in your favor, head back to the Chieftain to complete the quest.

Runescape (quick Coins and Experience)

Lately I have seen many a large increase on Runescape with new players begging for money, or spamming the more experienced players for help. So I have decided to write an article on how to become one of the rich players on Runescape.

First off, when you enter the game, you need to decide what kind of fighter you want to be, your options are fairly limited, you can be a mage, ranger, or a warrior. Whatever you want to do, make sure that you specialize in one of the three, spend some time to research each type of fighter and make your selection that best fits your style. I chose to be a mage when I played because I discovered that the mage levels up just as slow as the ranger but the mage can battle warriors of the same level and have about four times better odds of winning the fight. The only problem with being a mage was I had to learn how to make money and make it quick to keep up.

Mining is possibly one of the easiest ways to make money in the game. It’s simple; go mine copper ore until you can mine iron then mine iron until you can make it into the mining guild. After you have gained access to the guild mine coal, you won’t have a million coins in a day; (unless you do nothing but sit behind your computer) but mining is a nice way to get some chunk change for whatever you need to buy.

If you have chosen the warrior path then along with your mining you should try smithing. It doesn’t make money as quickly as mining, but if you have the determination you can eventually sell full rune armor for 80k a piece.

Woodcutting is another way to make money but it is slower yet, with woodcutting the only way to make any real money is to cut willows, the good part is though that you can cut willows in the Draynor and the bank is right there so you can collect a lot of them before you go and sell them and you can make it worthwhile.

Battling is one that a lot of people look over when they talk about making money, probably because you only really make money if you are a warrior or a ranger because with the other fighting style you always have to be replenishing your ammo. When you do battle things, collect anything that seems to have a value, even bones can be sold for 5gp. Learn quickly that in the game of Runescape everything has a value, the harder something is to find though the more likely you will make bank off of it.

Use the Grand Exchange whenever you are selling anything, it especially keeps the scammers from doing what they do best. The grand exchange is the best place to buy and sell everything, the only problem is that sometimes you have to wait for a while to get what you want, but in the long run it is a worthwhile place to buy and sell.

Finding your niche can be very important, once you have began to make progress doing one thing don’t stop to do another. Once your niche has been found continue with it.

These are just a few ways of making money in Runescape, there are other options on how to make it and if you need some help or want more advice try going to Sal’s Realm. It is a very good resource to use for more information on what I talked about.
